Set in the garden of a beautiful country home nestled in the lush hills outside the town of Ocho Rios. A gastro-jerk experience cooked over a 300-year-old Pimento Barbeque. Join us as we explore the true story of authentic Jamaican jerk from its origins to the myriad of modern ways to enjoy it. Learn how to stoke and maintain a traditional pimento pit and enjoy a leisurely alfresco, family-style lunch.

Journey Through Jerk Sample Itinerary

  • Meet and mingle over a welcome drink. This is an opportunity to lime and chat, as your hosts, the sisters, take you on a journey through the history of jerk.

  • We’ll delve into the rich history of jerk, exploring its roots and regional nuances across Jamaica. You’ll witness different regional jerk traditions and understand the process of cooking over a wood fired jerk pit. 

    Then, settle into a leisurely al fresco meal served family-style. Expect generous servings, bold flavours and dishes best passed along tables alive with conversation.

  • Don’t go just yet! Relax on the verandah or in the morning room while sipping on freshly made lemongrass tea or Blue Mountain Coffee before you depart.
