OUR STORY

TWO SISTERS Is More Than A Travel Experience, It’s A Homecoming

At the crossroads of heritage and innovation, TWO SISTERS offers immersive cultural journeys connecting travelers to the living soul of Jamaica. Rooted in sustainability, each experience is a love letter to the island: its farmers, artisans, cooks, and keepers of tradition (or as we call them, wisdom keepers). By collaborating with local creatives and communities, Michelle and Suzanne craft moments that are deeply personal yet globally resonant.

Sisters Michelle and Suzanne Rousseau have shaped Caribbean hospitality and culture for over 30 years through their restaurants, television shows, and award-winning cookbooks.

About Michelle & Suzanne

Their acclaimed works include Caribbean Potluck (NPR's Best Books 2014) and Provisions: The Roots of Caribbean Cooking (listed among the best cookbooks of 2018 by The San Francisco Chronicle, The New Yorker, Epicurious and Serious Eats), establishing them as authorities on Caribbean cuisine and heritage. Beyond their media presence and award-winning books, they produced, starred in, and aired the TV show "Two Sisters and a Meal" and were part of a pilot series "Island Potluck.”

Most recently, Suzanne and Michelle launched a luxury hospitality and consulting brand focused on preserving the stories and culture of Jamaica through the island’s foodways and historic venues. Among their inaugural projects was the restoration of the restaurant and bar at Kingston’s iconic Liguanea Club (one of Jamaica’s oldest members clubs) and Harmony Hall, a heritage site in St. Mary, which housed The Sisters’ beloved concepts: Summerhouse, offering modern Caribbean cuisine, and Island Magnolia, a curated boutique of fine Caribbean and Latin American fashion and goods.
